Install Canvas and Start in the Site Editor

Agent Canvas requires WordPress 6.9 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. Composer, Starter, and other WP Suite plugins are optional.

Install the theme

  1. In WordPress, open Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme.
  2. Upload the versioned smartcloud-agent-canvas-<version>.zip package from a trusted release source.
  3. Install and activate SmartCloud Agent Canvas.
  4. Open Appearance → Editor.

Activation does not import pages, posts, navigation, or demo content, and it does not make an external request.

Choose the visual foundation

Open Styles in the Site Editor and review the default Cloud design or one of the Aurora, Emerald, Coral, Slate, Warm, and High Contrast variations. Every variation reuses the same semantic token slugs, so changing the visual style does not rewrite authored block content.

Use the global Styles interface for site-wide color, typography, and spacing decisions. Use individual block controls for content-specific choices. Avoid adding presentation-only HTML wrappers or inline CSS when an existing token, block style, or pattern already expresses the design.

Edit templates and navigation

Canvas exposes native block templates and template parts. Header, footer, navigation, and page structure remain editable in the Site Editor. Save changes only after checking representative pages and responsive previews.

Canvas patterns are starting structures, not synchronized remote components. Inserting a pattern copies its core blocks into the current content. Later pattern-source changes do not silently rewrite already-authored pages.

Switching themes

Core-block content remains readable after a theme switch. Canvas-specific classes may no longer receive Canvas styling. Preview the replacement theme before switching on a production site, especially when pages depend on Canvas templates, template parts, or full-page patterns.

If Composer is active, follow the Composer integration checklist after installing, updating, or replacing the theme. A site scan reports capabilities but does not rewrite or activate a Config Set.
