Governed AI-assisted content creation and maintenance
Create and maintain WordPress content with AI, inside your site’s rules.
AI agents can create complete WordPress pages inside approved native Gutenberg structures and can propose governed changes to published content without receiving direct publication authority. Agent Composer validates what the agent may create or change, while human editors keep the final publish or merge decision.
Agency handoff
The design stays with the site builder
Composer fills approved content structures, validates new Gutenberg drafts, and can prepare controlled update proposals for existing published content against the active site contract.
Execution boundary
Agents create assigned drafts or update proposals. Human editors retain publication, administration, and the final merge or production release.
Try it before installing it
Launch a complete WordPress sandbox in your browser.
Let your AI agent inspect a real Site Contract and create a validated Gutenberg page inside a temporary WordPress site.
Built for the work after launch
Turn a finished WordPress site into a governed content system
Give clients enough freedom to create and maintain useful content for years without handing over unrestricted administration or repeatedly rebuilding approved layouts.
01
Preserve the agency’s design system
Map recurring content types to approved templates, patterns, blocks, fields, media rules, metadata, and layout constraints instead of asking an agent to invent the structure again. See the design-system-safe AI page creation pattern.
02
Give clients a safer CMS handoff
Clients can request complete case studies, solution pages, landing pages, posts, or other approved content types while the Composer contract limits what the agent may create. The agency handoff governance guide covers this operating model after launch.
03
Keep private WordPress private
Use a direct authenticated MCP connection where appropriate, or an optional outbound tunnel when WordPress stays local or behind a firewall. The least-privilege MCP guide explains the execution boundary; the MCP comparison helps decide when broader site authority is actually justified.
04
Keep published changes reviewable
For published content, an agent can prepare a separate update proposal instead of overwriting the live item. Editors can review it, request changes, reject it, or merge an approved proposal back into the original content.
Core capabilities
Create, validate, and maintain content with site-owned rules
Reuse approved Media Library assets
Find existing images, preserve useful captions and alt text, place them in approved layouts, and assign an existing featured image without giving the agent general upload or deletion access.
Work with structured content and relations
Fill approved structured fields, search permitted relation targets, and connect related records through the site’s registered providers instead of flattening everything into page copy.
Validate the complete page
Check the target content type, template, required sections, registered blocks, headings, excerpt, SEO description, saved markup, and Blueprint rules before saving.
Multilingual content lifecycle — coming soon in Composer Pro
Composer Pro will add WPML and Polylang bridges for linked language variants: create multiple language drafts together, preserve their translation-group relationship, and later attach a new draft to an unused language slot in an existing group.
End-to-end workflow
Two governed content paths, with a separate release boundary
The site builder defines the design and content model. The client’s compatible AI agent works only through approved Composer actions: new content becomes a validated draft, while changes to published content become a separate proposal for human review and merge.

WORDPRESS PUBLISH OR OPTIONAL STATIC RELEASE
WordPress stores the configuration, drafts, update proposals, metadata, media assignments, relation values, and validation results. Revision and checksum checks prevent stale agent work from silently overwriting newer editorial changes. The AI client remains responsible for reasoning. Agent Canvas, Static Publisher, and Static Site Guardian are optional parts of the wider WP Suite workflow, not Composer prerequisites.
Evaluation guide
Questions before you hand content creation to a client or agent
Does Composer require Agent Canvas or a particular theme?
No. Composer can work with an existing compatible WordPress site when its content types, templates, patterns, blocks, and rules are represented by the active configuration. Agent Canvas is an optional first-party theme.
Can Composer use the Media Library and structured relationships?
Yes, within the active Blueprint. It can search and place approved existing images, assign an existing featured image, fill supported structured fields, and search permitted relation targets. Optional remote image ingestion must be enabled for exact HTTPS hosts by an administrator.
Can it work with a local or firewall-protected WordPress site?
Yes. A compatible client may connect through an authenticated MCP route, while an optional outbound tunnel can reach the same Composer capabilities without opening a new inbound WordPress endpoint.
Can the agent publish to WordPress or production?
No. Composer does not give the agent direct WordPress publication authority. New content remains a governed draft. For existing published content, the agent can prepare an update proposal that a human reviewer may merge, return with comments for revision, or reject. Rejected proposals can later be reopened by an authorized user; publication and final production release remain human-controlled.
Build once, operate content safely
Turn your finished site into a governed content workflow.
Define the content types clients may create or maintain, connect the compatible AI agent they already use, and keep new drafts and published-content proposals inside a governed WordPress review path before any production release or merge.
