WP Suite Deployment Access​

WP Suite Deployment Access - AWS-native Backends for WordPress is a separate AWS Marketplace product for agencies and technical teams that want WP Suite backend services in their own AWS account. WordPress remains the CMS and editorial layer; guided AWS Marketplace Quick Launch and a version-controlled CloudFormation orchestrator deploy the selected backend components.

Contract scope and price​

The public offer is a 36-month, $500 software contract for one buyer AWS account. It includes:

  • deployment and update access during the contract term,
  • the WP Suite Deployment Wizard and AWS Marketplace Quick Launch flow,
  • supported CloudFormation templates for selected backend components,
  • Marketplace entitlement validation and controlled access to deployment packages,
  • configuration and deployment support for the supported product scope,
  • unlimited deployment modifications and stack reconfigurations during the term, with no additional Deployment Access usage fee.

AWS infrastructure charges are separate. The buyer pays AWS directly for the resources created in its account and remains responsible for account administration, security policies, cost controls, backups, monitoring, and production operations. The Marketplace price and contract terms displayed during purchase take precedence over this summary.

Supported backend components​

The deployment wizard supports four component families:

Cognito identity foundation​

Deploy Amazon Cognito-based authentication and the identity resources needed by supported Gatey and protected-API integrations. Depending on the configuration, you can create a new Cognito foundation or connect supported components to existing Cognito resources.

AI-Kit Backend​

Deploy AWS-native APIs and storage for supported private AI, fallback processing, grounded chat, and knowledge-access features. Optional features can use services such as Amazon Bedrock, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3.

Flow Backend​

Deploy the APIs, workers, storage, and event integrations used for durable form submissions, templates, validation, workflows, webhooks, and supported automation. Depending on the selected options, the stack can use API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, and SES.

Static Site Guardian​

Deploy protected static WordPress delivery using CloudFront, a private S3 origin, Cognito-compatible token validation, and optional signing-key and domain configuration. This complements Static Publisher when selected pages or assets require access control.

Only the components and optional features you configure create their runtime resources. Review the generated parameters, estimated AWS costs, and IAM permissions before launch.

How Quick Launch works​

  1. Subscribe through the AWS Marketplace listing.
  2. Complete the WP Suite account, workspace, and Marketplace entitlement flow.
  3. Open the WP Suite Deployment Wizard from the Quick Launch setup step.
  4. Choose the supported components, AWS Region, and component settings.
  5. Review the normalized configuration and the permissions required by the selected templates, then save the configuration.
  6. Return to AWS Marketplace Quick Launch and launch the root CloudFormation stack in the entitled AWS account.
  7. Monitor the stack until it reaches CREATE_COMPLETE or UPDATE_COMPLETE.
  8. Return to the WP Suite dashboard. Deployment outputs are captured for later configuration of supported WP Suite sites and components.

The Marketplace flow launches one root orchestration template. That template coordinates the selected component templates and the entitlement-gated runtime packages. This makes the deployment repeatable and lets buyers review the public CloudFormation definitions instead of assembling the infrastructure manually.

Prerequisites and security review​

Before launching, use an AWS identity with permission to create CloudFormation stacks and the resources selected in the wizard. The exact permissions depend on the chosen components and options, but can include IAM, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch Logs, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, EventBridge, SES, CloudFront, Route 53, AWS Certificate Manager, AWS WAF, and Amazon Bedrock.

Review these items before confirming the stack:

  • the target AWS account and Region,
  • the selected component boundaries and dependencies,
  • all CloudFormation parameters and capabilities,
  • IAM roles and policies in the public templates,
  • encryption, network exposure, domain, logging, retention, and backup settings,
  • estimated AWS service costs and relevant account quotas.

CloudFormation validation cannot confirm every runtime permission, quota, domain, or service-availability condition. Monitor stack events and resolve any failed resources before connecting production sites.

What is not included​

Deployment Access does not include WordPress hosting, AWS infrastructure charges, managed production operations, custom theme or plugin development, third-party services, or unsupported AWS resources. Support covers Marketplace entitlement, onboarding, wizard configuration, supported Quick Launch and CloudFormation deployment, connection of supported WP Suite components, and deployment-update guidance.

Relationship to Agency Subscription​

WP Suite Agency Subscription provides multi-site Pro entitlements and central workspace management. Deployment Access provides the account-scoped right and guided tooling to deploy supported AWS infrastructure. You may need one, the other, or both:

  • choose Agency Subscription when the primary need is managing Pro access across multiple WordPress sites;
  • choose Deployment Access when the primary need is deploying supported backends into a buyer-owned AWS account;
  • use both when an agency needs central multi-site entitlements and customer-owned AWS backend infrastructure.
